An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated nurse specialist to join our dynamic Urology CNS team. The focus of this role is supporting patients on the Prostate Pathway and performing flexible cystoscopy. Training for flexible cystoscopy will span over 2 years. Candidates must be First Level Registered Nurses with at least 5 years of post-registration experience.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Urology experience with knowledge of care and management of patients with prostate cancer is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Capability to make complex clinical decisions using specialist judgment and to prioritize workload.
• Experience supporting TRUS return clinics to enhance patient pathways.
• Completion of relevant training pathways and clinical competencies is desirable.
• Strong IT skills, good organizational and time management skills.
• Possession of a non-medical prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.

Additional Information

This post may also be considered as an Annex 21 post at Band 7.
