Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. is working with a UK retail-focused business to fill an urgent Temporary Financial Accountant role for a three-month contract with an indicative circa £50k salary and an immediate start in Cullompton.

You will report to the Financial Controller, collaborate with a small finance team, and cover end-to-end accounting, monthly management reporting, VAT duties, cash flow forecasting, asset management and audits support.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with UK accounting experience within retail sector.
• Experience with end-to-end accounting and audits.
• Strong IT literacy and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly management reporting and commentary.
• Produce VAT returns for UK/EU entities.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and working capital monitoring.
• Maintain fixed asset register and assist audits.
• Deputise for Financial Controller as needed.
