Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a fast-paced, new build residential development in Ashington. The role is temporary with an immediate start and runs through Christmas, focused on driving site progress, coordinating trades and maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will oversee daily operations, enforce health and safety regs, manage labour and subcontractors, and conduct inductions and inspections to keep the project on programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Manager on volume or speculative new build housing developments.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
• First Aid at Work certification (3-day preferred).
• Available to start immediately and commit through Christmas.
• Up-to-date knowledge of NHBC standards and UK Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily site operations, groundworks, build stages, and internal trades.
• Enforcing Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across the site.
• Coordinating direct labour, sub-contractors, and material deliveries to keep builds on programme.
• Conducting daily inductions, toolbox talks, and RAMS reviews.
• Performing stage inspections, snagging, and quality assurance checks.
• Liaising with the Contracts Manager, commercial team, building control, and NHBC/warranty inspectors.
