Job summary
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist for a fixed-term maternity cover within the Rapid Assessment Therapy Service (RATS). You will lead front door therapy assessment and interventions, manage daily caseloads, and provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team.
The role requires strong leadership, clinical excellence and a client-centred approach, with supervision duties and contributions to service
Qualifications
- Leadership in a front door therapy setting.
- Experience delivering therapy assessments and interventions.
- Ability to contribute to MDT and service improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, treatment and management advice for front door patients.
- Prioritise daily caseload and supervise team.
- Offer specialist advice to therapy staff and MDT members.
- Lead on service improvement and quality initiatives.
- Use the Trust's electronic patient record system.
- Contribute to Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments.
- Adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
- Respond flexibly to challenges.
