Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Urgent Care Practitioner to deliver enhanced telephone assessments and short-term interventions across Dorset, rotating through Integrated Urgent Care services.

The post requires non-medical prescriber status or current pathway, with 24/7 cover and potential for mobile home visits. Participation in supervision and evidence-based practice is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be a non-medical prescriber or on the non-medical prescriber pathway (to complete within 6 months).
• Enhanced clinical skills to support urgent healthcare needs.
• Willing to work to a 24/7 service including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent telephone assessments during core and out-of-hours periods.
• Progress to face-to-face consultations delivered through mobile home visiting services.
• Provide enhanced clinical advice, leadership and supervision within the service.
