Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland's Walk-In Service in Elgin is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Band 7) to join our urgent care team. The role involves autonomous clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and onward referral for patients of all ages in a fast-paced setting.

You will work with GP colleagues and the Clinical Lead, contributing to service development, audits, education and clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Educated to degree level, with PgDip or MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
• Hold the Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
• Experience working in urgent care, primary care, minor injury or equivalent settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and onward referral.
• Work closely with GP colleagues, the Clinical Lead and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to service development, audit, education and clinical leadership within the Walk‑In Service.
• Exercise clinical autonomy with support from NHS Grampian policies and guidelines.
• Flexibility for evening and weekend work and service cover arrangements.
