Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced CAMHS Duty Practitioner to join our core CAMHS teams in Bournemouth, Poole, and North and East Dorset on an 18-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on timely assessments, risk management and co-ordinating urgent mental health responses for children and young people.

37.5 hours per week, full-time. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with health, education, social care and voluntary sector

Qualifications

• Registered mental health professionals with experience of working with children and families.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and multi-agency working.
• CPD and continuous professional development evidence expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent assessment and risk assessment for children and young people.
• Develop risk management and treatment plans with families.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions where appropriate.
• Collaborate with health, education, social care and voluntary sector colleagues.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement.
