Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Principal Clinical Psychologist for CAMHS in Dorset. The role centers on delivering evidence-based psychological care within a THRIVE framework, supporting families and working within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide specialist assessments, interventions, supervision, and contribute to service development while maintaining a strong patient- and family-centered approach. 37.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• 2:1 honours degree in Psychology; eligibility for Graduate Membership of BPS.
• Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent) as accredited by the BPS/HPC.
• Specialist supervisory training and clinical supervision for trainees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments and formulate problems with children and families.
• Regularly review outcomes and monitor treatment effects against care plans.
• Plan workload and coordinate with CAMHS locality teams to avoid delays.
• Lead multidisciplinary meetings and provide supervision, training, and consultation.
