Urban Planner Manchester Based | £30k-£37k | Flexible Hours Available

We're currently representing a progressive planning consultancy looking for a talented Urban Planner to join their growing team in Manchester. This organisation is known for delivering creative, people-centred planning strategies and offers an exciting opportunity for someone ready to advance their planning career.

The Role:

As a Planner, you'll work closely with senior consultants and clients on diverse planning projects across the UK. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Carrying out planning policy research and initial site appraisals
2. Preparing high-quality written planning advice and reports
3. Managing smaller applications and supporting larger projects
4. Coordinating with external consultants and internal design teams
5. Producing planning updates, client briefings, and social media content
6. Supporting the team's business development efforts and networking activities

What You'll Need:

• A Master's degree in Planning, Geography, or a related field
• Approximately 2 years of practical experience in a planning or consultancy environment
• A strategic mindset with a proactive problem-solving approach
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• RTPI Associate membership (or working towards full accreditation)
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• A UK driver's licence is beneficial but not essential
