Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an Urban Drainage Modeller to join our Northern teams in Newcastle or Leeds.

You will apply your drainage modelling expertise across projects from concept to delivery, with opportunities to work on AMP8 frameworks and improve wastewater networks. You will develop and verify hydraulic models, analyse outcomes and provide recommendations to clients, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and benefiting from a supportive UDM community

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in urban drainage or wastewater modelling.
• Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM.
• Understanding of hydraulic modelling principles in the water sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify and maintain hydraulic models using InfoWorks ICM.
• Undertake urban drainage and wastewater modelling studies to support client decisions.
• Work on projects covering storm overflows, water quality, network performance and flood risk.
• Analyse modelling outputs and provide technical recommendations to clients and teams.
• Contribute to development of innovative modelling approaches and digital solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, modellers, environmental specialists and partners.
• Support delivery of projects across UK water company frameworks.
