Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Urban Drainage Modeller to join our team across the UK, based in High Wycombe or Reading. You will deliver drainage and wastewater modelling studies, build and maintain hydraulic models, and work with multidisciplinary teams to solve real environmental challenges.

The role emphasizes ownership of technical tasks, development of modelling expertise, and contribution to major UK water programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in urban drainage, wastewater or hydraulic modelling.
• Experience using InfoWorks ICM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and modelling outputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver urban drainage and wastewater modelling studies across UK water projects.
• Develop, update and maintain hydraulic models using InfoWorks ICM.
• Undertake modelling assessments covering storm overflows, flooding, water quality and network performance.
• Analyse and interpret modelling results to identify practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and other project deliverables to a high standard.
• Work closely with modellers, engineers, environmental specialists and digital teams across multidisciplinary projects.
• Contribute to project meetings, site visits and technical workshops.
