Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in the UK is seeking a Senior Urban Drainage Modeller to join our Southern teams across Cambridge, Northampton, London, High Wycombe, Reading, Brighton or Southampton. You will lead modelling studies and deliver robust hydraulic models for a varied portfolio of UK water projects.

Working with project managers and clients, you will develop and maintain InfoWorks ICM models, mentor junior modellers and help shape resilient, sustainable drainage solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or actively working towards.
• Significant experience working in an urban drainage or wastewater modelling environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing technical reports and presenting findings.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage your own technical workload.

Responsibilities

• Deliver urban drainage and wastewater modelling studies across a variety of UK water projects.
• Develop, update, verify and maintain hydraulic models using InfoWorks ICM.
• Undertake modelling assessments relating to storm overflows, flooding, water quality and network performance.
• Interpret modelling results and contribute to the development and assessment of engineering solutions.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations and project deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, modellers, environmental specialists and digital teams.
• Engage with clients and project stakeholders, contributing to meetings, workshops and technical discussions.
• Support and mentor developing modellers, sharing your technical knowledge and experience.
