Job summary

Lawes Consulting Group is seeking a Broker Technician to join its Upstream Energy team in London. You will provide technical support across new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.

The role requires knowledge of MRC slips, endorsements, policy wordings and London Market documentation, plus collaboration with brokers, underwriters and international stakeholders. Qualifications

• Experience as Broker Technician in Lloyd's or London market.
• Experience in Upstream Energy or related energy lines.
• Knowledge of MRC slips, endorsements, and policy wordings.
• Understanding of insurance placement processes and contract certainty.
• Experience handling international insurance programmes.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation.
• Effective relationships with brokers and underwriters.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Upstream Energy broking team on new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
• Prepare and review Market Reform Contracts, slips, endorsements, and policy documents.
• Assist with placement and administration of complex international energy programmes.
• Liaise with Lloyd's and London Market underwriters for timely documentation.
• Review policy wordings, terms, conditions, and endorsements for accuracy.
• Manage premium processing including signing instructions and debit notes.
• Maintain accurate client and placement records per FCA requirements.
• Support brokers with underwriting submissions, schedules, and renewal docs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high service standards.
