Job summary

Eaton is seeking UPS Commissioning Engineers to join our UK team in the South East region, delivering commissioning of large UPS systems, site acceptance testing and remote monitoring configuration to ensure peak performance and reliability.

Candidates should be based in the South of the UK and hold an HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with hands-on experience of three-phase installations and UPS technology.

Qualifications

• Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with large UPS systems and commissioning, site testing and power quality meters; battery knowledge (VRLA and Lithium Ion).
• Experience with remote monitoring software and understanding of Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of large UPS systems and site acceptance testing.
• Set up and configure remote monitoring software.
• Communicate with key stakeholders on a technical level.
• Adhere to safety standards and ECN approval processes.

In this role, you will provide expert service to Eaton customers by commissioning large UPS systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in line with Eaton's safety standards. You will play a key role supporting hyperscale data centres
delivering high-quality technical expertise across commissioning, testing and system configuration.Candidates need to be based within South of the UK.What you'll do:

• Commissioning of large UPS systems. Ability to understand on-line and line-interactive UPS systems. Ability to understand and create commissioning scripts. Carry out site acceptance testing on customer sites. Ability to use and understand power quality meters. Experience in thermography and reporting. Battery experience - VRLA and Lithium Ion. You will setup and configure remote monitoring software. You will communicate with key stakeholders on a technical level. Applies anti-static policies and procedures. Applies ECN process to all repairs.Qualifications:Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalentSkills: Possessing three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge A good understanding of UPS systems is preferred Knowledgeable of industrial communication
