Job summary

DFS Furniture PLC is seeking an experienced Upholsterer to join its manufacturing teams in Somercotes. You will shepherd pieces from frame preparation to final fabric or leather upholstery, maintaining high craftsmanship standards in a collaborative, safe, and clean workspace.

After training, you’ll progress to piecework pay, with early hours and a supportive team environment. The role focuses on producing top‑quality upholstered goods, using a variety of fabrics, foams, springs, and trimming

Qualifications

• You have upholstery experience.
• Can work in a high pressure and high volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Being self motivated to produce high quality upholstered products in line with specifications.
• Ensuring all products produced are of the highest quality ready to go to our customers.
• Preparing frames for upholstery including adding different foams and fibres.
• Using a range of springs to ensure our products are prepared for upholstery.
• Filling cushions using different fillings to complete the product.
• Working with a large range of materials including fabrics and leathers to upholster our products.
