DFS is seeking an experienced Upholsterer to craft high-quality furniture. You will work from frame preparation to final fabric or leather upholstery in a collaborative team environment, upholding DFS craftsmanship and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Upholsterer with proven experience.
• Hands-on experience using power tools.
• Ability to work in high pressure, high volume production.
• Logical problem solver with organizational skills.
• Highly motivated and reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality upholstered products to spec.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards for customers.
• Prepare frames for upholstery with foams and fibres.
• Use springs to prepare products for upholstery.
• Fill cushions with various fillings.
• Work with fabrics and leathers to upholster.
• Cut materials for upholstery.
• Apply tensioning and framing methods as needed.
• Fit trims, buttons, piping, and decorative studs.
• Operate staple guns and hand tools safely.
• Create pleats such as scroll arm, envelope, puckering.
• Work as a team on piece-work production.
• Keep up-to-date with DFS product specs.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies.
• Keep workspace tidy and safe.
• Assist in other manufacturing areas.
