This permanent position, working the AM shift from 5:30am to 1:45pm, Monday to Friday, offers an hourly rate of £14.46, with additional overtime paid at enhanced rates and an uncapped bonus scheme.

Role Details

As an Upholsterer, you will be working the AM shift from 5:30am to 1:45pm, Monday to Friday. Your primary responsibilities will include upholstering various sofa frames to meet quality standards using foam, fibre, fabric, and leather. Working as part of a production line, you will:

• Assemble sofas using handheld power tools such as nail guns, ensuring production targets are met.
• Inspect components and materials, reporting any defects found.
• Upholster units or parts of units to specification using supplied tools.
• Ensure all fabric matching requirements are met.
• Drill and mark frames as required, adhering to specifications.
• Order sundries from production assistants as needed.

Skills And Experience Required

• Previous experience as an Upholsterer or in furniture assembly.
• Proficiency in using handheld power tools, including 'Air Pressure' tools.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Knowledge of fabrics, leathers, and upholstery methods is advantageous.
