Job summary

Advanced Insulation Systems Ltd in Skelmersdale, United Kingdom, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Operations Team and help deliver the site’s capital and process improvements.

You will apply Lean Six Sigma methods, tackle root-cause problems, and develop and document manufacturing processes while supporting production with troubleshooting and training. Proficiency in SolidWorks and a proven track record in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering and professional Lean/Six Sigma qualification.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and documentation of processes.

Responsibilities

• Research, justify and implement capital expenditures to improve utilisation.
• Provide technical expertise; develop and maintain systems, processes and controls.
• Apply six sigma/lean methodologies to improve quality and efficiency.
• Support production with troubleshooting and breakdown issues.
• Analyse layout, workflow and space to optimise safety and efficiency.
• Develop qualification/development of suppliers and tooling.
• Establish and document manufacturing processes; train operators.
• Resolve quality, manufacturability, delivery and cost issues.
