Job summary

CRP Subsea is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Skelmersdale to join the Operations Team and drive capital expenditure projects, process improvements and cost reductions. You will support technical systems, procedures and controls while applying lean methods to improve efficiency and quality across production lines.

The role requires a degree in engineering, Lean/Six Sigma qualifications, and experience in lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Lean / Six Sigma qualification or experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, justify and implement capital expenditures to improve utilisation of working capital.
• Provide technical expertise to develop, maintain and improve systems, processes, procedures and process controls.
• Utilise Six Sigma/lean methodologies to solve problems and improve quality, cost and delivery.
• Support production and maintenance with plant troubleshooting and breakdown issues.
• Analyse workforce utilisation, space, workflow and layout for safety and efficiency.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and capacity.
• Develop equipment and process to ensure high quality at competitive cost.
• Participate in supplier qualification and development for components and processes.
• Establish and document manufacturing processes and provide operator training and certification.
