The Best Connection is seeking an Unskilled Labourer / Recycling Operative in Leeds. The role is outdoors, involves unloading recyclable materials, sorting waste, and maintaining a safe yard environment. A hands-on, team-based role with steady assignments and the potential for overtime.

Typical hours are 7:00–16:30, Monday to Friday, totaling 45 hours per week. Previous yard or recycling experience is a plus but not essential; applicants must be comfortable working outside in all weather

Pay Rate

• £13.45 per hour
• Overtime paid at £17.88 per hour (after 45 hours worked)

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 - 16:30
• 45 hours per week

This role is primarily based outdoors, so applicants must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an Unskilled Labourer / Recycling Operative to join a busy recycling yard. This is a hands-on role working in a fast-paced environment where both members of the public and commercial customers visit to unload recyclable materials and scrap.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with the safe unloading of recyclable materials and scrap.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy working environment.
• Sorting and consolidating recyclable materials and yard debris.
• Following site health and safety procedures at all times.
• Carrying out a variety of general yard duties to support the daily operation of the business.
• Working as part of a team to ensure the site runs efficiently.
