NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a senior leader to serve as Director of Unscheduled Care for Sub-National West, guiding system-wide transformation across the West of Scotland. The role focuses on strategy, collaboration across NHS boards, and delivery of the National Flow Plan to improve patient flow and reduce avoidable admissions.

Secondment is for 24 months and can be full-time or part-time; you remain employed by your NHS Scotland Board with your current grade and terms, while

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in urgent/unscheduled care or a similarly complex health system.
• Track record of delivering major transformation, service redesign or improvement programmes.
• Strong understanding of patient flow, admission avoidance, discharge and care pathways.
