Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for the Director of Planned Care in the Sub-National West, a 24-month secondment opportunity for either full-time or part-time arrangements. You will provide strategic leadership across the West of Scotland and remain employed by your NHS Scotland Board.

The role shapes the regional approach to planned care, supports elective recovery, strengthens performance, enables service transformation, and translates strategic ambitions into sustainable improvements for

Qualifications

Significant senior leadership experience within a complex healthcare or comparable environment.
Successful leadership of major service transformation, redesign or improvement.
Strong understanding of performance, capacity and the challenges associated with delivering sustainable planned care.
Ability to influence, build consensus and achieve progress where responsibility is shared across organisations.
Experience developing effective partnerships with senior clinical, operational and corporate leaders.
Confidence to provide constructive challenge, strategic advice and assurance.
Collaborative and inclusive leadership style, translating strategic priorities into improvement and delivery.
