Job summary

Milk Education are recruiting a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to work across SEN Schools in the Middlesbrough and Darlington areas. You will support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, within inclusive and nurturing school environments.

This role offers flexible days and hours, with opportunities to learn from experienced teachers and SEN staff, supporting learning and behavioural goals in

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs is essential.
  • Patience, empathy and a positive attitude are required to build rapport with pupils.
  • Willingness to learn and follow guidance from teachers and SEN professionals is important.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with additional needs on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and emotional regulation.
  • Assist pupils with learning, communication and social development.
  • Support personal care needs where required and liaise with teachers.
  • Work closely with SEN staff to implement education and support plans.

Job Description: Milk Education are recruiting a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to work across a range of SEN Schools in the Middlesbrough and Darlington areas.

You will be supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, within inclusive and nurturing school environments. Essential Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
  • Patience, empathy and a positive attitude
  • Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential)
  • Willingness to learn and follow guidance from teachers and SEN professionalsAbility to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
