Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a warm and welcoming primary school in Tuebrook. They seek an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to work under qualified teachers, supporting pupil attainment and social, emotional and academic development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day classroom support, including assisting with planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
  • Support individual pupils or small groups, especially those with additional needs.
  • Prepare teaching resources, classroom displays and learning materials.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils work and play cooperatively.
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunch times as required.
  • Support pupils with reading, writing, numeracy and other key skills interventions.
  • Undertake routine administrative tasks (e.g. photocopying, filing, record-keeping).
  • Help pupils develop social skills and model positive attitudes and behaviour.
  • Provide pastoral care, basic welfare support and first aid (training provided).

Role

The school is seeking to appoint an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and collaborative team. You will work under the direction of qualified teachers, helping to raise pupil attainment and supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development.   • Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

All pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position; in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
