PK Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a network of Sheffield secondary schools, with flexible day-to-day assignments and no teaching qualification required.

Qualifications

• Previous Cover Supervisor experience is desirable but not essential.
• We’re particularly interested in hearing from graduates, Teaching Assistants, sports coaches and youth workers.
• Hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes when the regular teacher is absent and ensure students stay on task.
• Deliver pre-planned work across a range of subjects.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Support students with their learning where appropriate.

PK Education are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a wide network of secondary schools in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.

Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, a sports coach, Teaching Assistant or someone with experience working with young people, we'd love to hear from you.

You do not need to be a qualified teacher!

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom when the usual teacher is absent, ensuring students remain engaged, focused and on task. Lessons will already be planned, so your responsibility is to supervise the class, explain the activities and maintain a positive learning environment.

The best part? You choose when you work!

We offer flexible day-to-day assignments, allowing you to work as many or as few days as you like. Whether you're looking for five days a week, a couple of days around other commitments or occasional work to gain experience, we'll work around your availability.

The Ideal Candidate

• Have experience working with children or young people, ideally of secondary school age
• Be confident supervising groups of students aged
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be comfortable managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Be reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
• Have a genuine interest in education and supporting young people
• Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS Check
