Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking motivated individuals to work as Unqualified Teachers across secondary schools in Newport, Monmouthshire, Brecon, Powys and surrounding areas. Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, gain classroom experience and build your confidence and classroom management skills.

This role suits graduates, coaches, tutors or those exploring teacher training before committing to a PGCE.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) in Wales, or willingness to register.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
• A passion for supporting and inspiring young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Encourage student engagement and participation.
• Support students with their learning throughout lessons.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day.
• No lesson planning required. Schools provide all resources and lesson materials.
