SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Chorley or South Ribble

Start Date: As soon as possible

Pay: £90-£100 per day

Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm

Are you looking for a new SEN Teaching Assistant role?

Veritas Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant at an Outstanding SEN School specialising in ASD. We are interested in candidates with an interest or experience in working with SEN students.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
3. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' holistic development.
4. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to staff.
5. Manage behaviour confidently using de-escalation strategies.
6. Support students' learning with good knowledge of the National Curriculum.
7. Maintain an optimistic outlook and determination to make a difference in children's education.

Application Requirements for Veritas Education:

• Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional references, and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), in line with safeguarding policies.
• Your CV should cover the last 10 years of employment, explaining any gaps.
• Legal right to work in the UK is required.
• Willingness to attend a registration interview is necessary.
