Partou Bumpkins Day Nursery & Pre-school in Royston is hiring a Lunchtime Cover Assistant on a 15-hour weekly, part-time basis. You will support the nursery team during lunch breaks, ensuring children are engaged in safe, stimulating EYFS activities and well cared for.

About the Role

Partou Bumpkins Day Nursery & Pre-school is seeking an unqualifiednursery practitioner to take on the flexible 15hours per week role of Lunchtime Cover Assistant. You will work towards ensuring children engage in stimulating activities that support their learning and development in line with the EYFS. You will provide exceptional care and compassion towards the children, maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and build strong partnerships with childcare colleagues and families. You'll play a key role in supporting our nursery team, stepping in to provide cover while our staff enjoy their well-deserved lunch break. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys the bustling energy of a nursery setting and thrives in a supportive role.

Our forest school, Nature Rangers, was shortlisted for Outdoor Learning Environment of the Year at the 2024, National NMT Nursery Awards. Pre-school children enjoy free-flow access to this incredible outdoor space which covers all seven areas of the EYFS. You will work towards ensuring children engage in stimulating activities that support their learning and development in line with the EYFS. You will provide exceptional care and compassion towards the children, maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and build strong partnerships with childcare colleagues and families. We operate across two sites with dedicated environments for each age group and parking at both locations.
