Job summary

TimePlan Education in the UK is recruiting Nursery and Preschool Assistants to support young children across Cambridge and surrounding areas. Flexible temporary opportunities run every day, ideal for gaining childcare experience or a stepping stone to a permanent role. No formal qualifications or nursery experience required.

Ideal candidates are positive, reliable, and eager to work with children, with good communication and teamwork. DBS update service or consent for check is required.

Qualifications

• A positive, reliable, and caring attitude.
• A genuine interest in working with young children.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to different nursery settings.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
• Immediate availability is highly desirable.

• Assisting with daily activities, play, learning, and routines
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
• Working alongside experienced Early Years staff across a variety of settings

• Hours: Approximately 20-40 hours per week
• Pay: £14.5 - £16.78 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Day shifts
• 8-hour shifts
