• GCSEs in Science, Mathematics, and English (grades A-C) or equivalent.

Job description

Job Title: Sample Unpacking Assistant

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Location: Ellesmere Port

Salary: £23,809.50

Your new role

1. Unpack samples ensuring they are labelled and receipted correctly in accordance with the quality management system.
2. Ensure all samples are correctly receipted and registered accurately, recording details in appropriate sample registers to meet customer requirements within agreed turnaround times.
3. Provide stewarding support to the laboratory, ensuring customer service levels are met, including sample storage, retrieval, and disposal.
4. Support the storage, retrieval, and disposal of samples in a traceable and safe manner to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
5. Receive samples and stock items/consumables delivered to the site to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
6. Support effective teamwork and communication between unpacking, registration, and laboratory teams to provide efficient service aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

How to be a successful candidate

• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Desirable

• Experience in a laboratory industry.
• Experience working in the oil industry (desirable).
• GCSEs in Science, Mathematics, and English (grades A-C) or equivalent.
