Job summary

HCLTech invites a skilled Unix Engineer to join our fixed-term 1-year role in London or Birmingham. The role focuses on designing, testing, and certifying Unix patching solutions and platform improvements, with 3 days on-site per week.

The ideal candidate will drive patching and remediation activities, ensuring platform security, governance and audit readiness while collaborating with engineering, operations and security teams.

Job Title - Unix Engineer

Location - London or Birmingham

Type of Role - Fixed term contract 1 Year

Mode of Working - 3 days onsite in a week

Role Summary

Design, test and certify Unix patching solutions and platform enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive platform stability, security and compliance objectives.
  • Execute patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, security and business stakeholders.
  • Support governance, reporting, audit readiness and continuous improvement.
  • Implement automation and operational best practices where applicable.
