York St John University invites applications for a Mental Health Practitioner within its Student Wellbeing Service in York. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of counsellors and clinical practitioners delivering mental health support to students, including assessments, risk management and brief interventions.

The role requires current registration with NMC, HCPC or Social Work England, plus Experience in clinical settings and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the relevant body (NMC/HCPC or Social Work England) as a mental health professional.
• Experience in clinical mental health settings and liaison across services.
• Ability to carry out risk assessments and deliver brief interventions.

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate a caseload of students with mental health needs.
• Conduct mental health assessments and risk assessments; provide brief interventions.
• Contribute to Wellbeing drop-in service and offer in-person student support.
