Job summary

T&D Glazing and Installation Limited is seeking a Facade Site Manager for Manchester to lead on-site installation of unitised curtain walling and related façade systems on live commercial and residential projects. The role emphasizes safe, productive delivery and quality in line with project requirements and client expectations.

You will be deeply involved on site, coordinating with the Project Manager, contractors and supervisors, while ensuring plans, RAMS and daily reporting are kept up to

Qualifications

• At least three years of facade installation management or senior supervision experience.
• Proven experience managing unitised curtain wall systems installation.
• Experience managing installers, team leaders or supervisors on live projects.
• Strong knowledge of curtain walling, glazing, aluminium windows and doors.
• Experience on mid-rise or high-rise commercial or residential projects.
• Ability to read and explain construction drawings and installation details.
• Good understanding of sequencing, setting-out, interfaces, tolerances, access and lifting operations.
• Strong RAMS, health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily installation of unitised curtain walling and other facade systems.
• Plan work by floor, elevation, area or installation zone with look-ahead plans.
• Manage installers, team leaders and supervisors, allocating labour and monitoring productivity.
• Read and understand construction drawings and technical details.
• Plan labour, materials, access, deliveries, lifting operations and site resources.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, main contractor, QA team, QS/commercial team and senior site management.
• Identify missing materials, drawings, access, information or decisions before delays.
• Conduct daily start briefings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure work follows RAMS and safety requirements and lifting procedures.
• Monitor workmanship, quality, snagging and programme progress.
• Maintain site records and produce detailed daily reports.
• Resolve practical site problems and motivate workforce.
• Represent T&D professionally in meetings and communication with the client and wider project team.
