Job summary

Bupa is seeking an Unit Manager in Hatfield Peverel to lead by example, work clinically on the floor and dedicate time to managerial duties within the unit. The role requires an NMC-registered nurse with a passion for elderly care and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and commitment to professional development.
• Passion for elderly care and promoting independence, choice and dignity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with residents and families.
• Experienced in leading, mentoring and delegating to a care team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a care unit on the floor and manage clinical duties alongside managerial tasks.
• Promote resident independence, dignity and high standards of care at all times.
• Assess wellbeing and ensure accurate records of physical, emotional and social needs.
• Provide clinical guidance, motivate the team and ensure safe, smooth operation of the home.
• Build relationships with residents, families and local partners to raise the home’s profile.
