Job summary

Etive House Care Home in a village setting near Oban seeks a Unit Manager to lead the care team and ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care across the unit. You will manage day‑to‑day operations, support staff, and uphold regulatory standards while promoting a safe, well‑organised environment.

You will oversee care delivery, medication processes, and documentation, reporting to the Home Manager and coordinating with families and professionals. A proactive, compassionate leader is essential.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required.
• Medication administration training with competency.
• Experience leading or managing a care team.
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
• Proactive and accountable approach to care.
• Caring, compassionate and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the care team to deliver high quality, person-centred care.
• Oversee day-to-day operational management of the unit and maintain standards.
• Ensure care delivery aligns with individual care plans, best practice and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and oversee medication processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including care plans and records; communicate with the Home Manager and families.
