Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking an enthusiastic Unit Manager - Clinical for Abbey Court Care Home in Heath Hayes, Cannock. You will lead a team of nurses and carers to deliver high-quality care with safety, compassion and inclusion for residents, visitors and staff.

You will support the care home management team, manage the rota, oversee medication systems, and ensure effective care planning while demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Active NMC PIN required.
• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care homes.
• At least two years' experience in a care home.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

Your focus as Unit Manager - Clinical will be to support the care home management team to deliver high quality care with a difference by providing a safe, caring, innovative , open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of nurses, senior carers and carers to provide staff support, including demonstrations and instruction of care activities.
• Enhancing and promoting the resident's quality of life through effective care planning.
• Managing and participating in the rota to ensure that senior care and care support are always available and that the your unit is covered appropriately.
• Supporting the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing the medication systems and ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents. A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
• NMC PIN essential

• At least two years' experience of working within a care home environment.
