Job summary

Orchard Care Homes Ltd. in Crosby, Liverpool, is seeking a compassionate Unit Manager to lead our care team at Thornton Hall & Lodge. You will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of personalised care and build strong relations with residents and families.

The role requires 2+ years in care, supervisory experience, Level 3 Health & Social Care, and strong leadership. This is a full-time on-site position with development opportunities and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a care environment
• 2+ years’ supervisory or management experience
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (essential) and working towards level 4
• Strong knowledge of care legislation, compliance and H&S
• Experience with budgets, staff management and recruitment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Warm, professional and caring approach
• Flexible and able to provide on-call support when required

Unit Manager

Location: Thornton Hall & Lodge, 16–18 Tanhouse Road, Crosby, Liverpool, L23 1UB
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £15.23 per hour

We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Unit Manager to lead our team and ensure our residents receive the highest standard of personalised care. As Unit Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our care home, manage and support staff, and ensure we maintain exceptional care quality. You will build strong relationships with residents and their families, lead by example, and foster a warm, safe and positive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage daily operations, care standards, staffing and financial controls

We’re seeking someone who is:
