You will lead the design of advanced control panels and systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and legislation. Candidates must have at least a level 3 qualification and 3 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• Minimum level 3 qualification in related discipline or HNC.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience with 3 phase power circuits.
• Familiarity with 24Vdc control circuits.
• Knowledge of machine safety systems.
• Servo motion & PLC programming experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformance with customer specification.
• Ensure conformance with machinery directive legislation.
• Create parts lists (BOM’s).
• Create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawing packs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams for efficient methods.
• Provide commissioning and fault-finding guidance to service teams.
• Provide remote customer support.

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Control Systems Designer to bring fresh energy and expertise to our talented electrical design team.

In this role, you’ll take the lead in designing advanced control panels and systems that power our industry‑leading machines, working with servo and inverter drives, sophisticated motion control, safety systems, and high‑precision measurement technologies. The position is based at our manufacturing facility in Scarborough. This is a full‑time salary‑based role. We offer a 39‑hour week 7.45am–4:45pm Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 1pm Friday.
