Job summary

Exeter High School in SAU 16 seeks an outstanding Unified Basketball Coach to plan and lead practices, develop student-athletes' basketball skills, and foster an inclusive, positive environment.

The coach will oversee team communication, supervise participants during practices and competitions, and collaborate with Unified partners and support staff while promoting teamwork, leadership and respect.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a basketball program.
• Previous successful coaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basketball techniques and coaching methods.
• Must model sportsmanship and character for student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead practices and develop basketball skills for student-athletes.
• Oversee team communication and supervise athletes at practices and competitions.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership and respect; ensure safety.
• Coordinate with Unified partners and support staff.

Position:

Exeter High School in SAU 16 seeks outstanding applicants for the position ofUnified Basketball Coach at Exeter High School.

Responsibilities:

The Unified Basketball Coach is responsible for planning and leading practices, developing basketball skills, and creating an inclusive, positive, and supportive environment where all student-athletes can participate, grow, and experience success. The coach oversees team communication, supervises athletes during practices and competitions, collaborates with Unified partners and support staff, and promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and respect while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Qualifications:

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a Basketballprogram.
• Has previous successful coaching experience preferred.
• The coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to Basketball.
• The coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes throughhis/her instructions and actions.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies of Exeter High School.
• Has knowledge of existing NHIAA regulations.
• Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance.

Administrative Duties:

• Assists the athletic director in scheduling, providing transportation and requirements for tournament and special sport events.
• Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sport events or practices and adheres to scheduled facility times.

Student Responsibilities:

• Serves as a mentor to each athlete to promote the development and demonstration in student athletes the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
• Gives constant attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct.
• By his/her presence at all practices games and while traveling, provides assistance, guidance andsafeguards for each participant.

Reports to:

The athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation inconjunction with the high school principal.
