What Is the Opportunity?

We are seeking an Underwriting Manager to oversee our SME portfolio, partnering with brokers to provide insurance solutions to customers. You will analyze risks, execute strategic initiatives, and ensure underwriting standards are maintained across the portfolio.

Travelers Europe offers flexible hybrid work arrangements, with a mix of office and remote work. This role is eligible for a £5,000 sign-on bonus, with potential referrals also eligible.

What Will You Do?

• Define and monitor underwriting appetite and rules for products.
• Collaborate on coverage analysis and product optimization.
• Manage risk selection using data and underwriting standards.
• Provide guidance for referral handling and risk management.
• Analyze portfolio performance, implement corrective actions, and ensure profitability.
• Negotiate risks and manage Mid Term Adjustments.
• Target new business and retention, utilizing technology platforms efficiently.
• Lead underwriting reviews and foster relationships with internal teams and brokers.
• Develop underwriting training materials and support SME product trading.

Success in this role requires delivering excellent customer experiences, building internal partnerships, and meeting commitments.
