Job summary

Intrum is seeking an Underwriting Analyst in the United Kingdom to process and interpret financial portfolio data, support IMs, and assist across jurisdictions. You will build tools to enhance analysis, ensure timely delivery, and communicate insights to stakeholders with accuracy and drive.

The role requires strong analytical capability, finance background, and excellent English, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree with strong analytical/financial focus.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken.
• Advanced knowledge of R/SQL/Python or equivalent tools.
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills for portfolio analyses.
• Statistical experience with large data sets and data modelling.
• Numerate, detail-oriented and capable of independent work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Data processing, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation of portfolio characteristics.
• Support and prepare portfolio Investment Memorandums (IMs).
• Support valuations across jurisdictions and ensure timely deliverables.
• Develop tools/models to enhance portfolio analysis and valuation.
• Maintain quality outputs and provide excellent stakeholder communication.
• Assist Underwriting Manager and perform ad hoc tasks as needed.
