As an Underwriter II, you will be responsible for delivering a profitable & sustainable underwriting service to your clients. Your key tasks include underwriting business within the agreed business plan and individual authority; supporting the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits; maintaining awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims; building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients; supporting the design and structure of risks.

Essential Responsibilities

• Review submissions including applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, and financial reports, conducting research to assess risk.
• Calculate appropriate risk premiums considering current underwriting environment.
• Advise, assist, and service clients on insurance and risk management to ensure satisfaction.
• Travel internationally and attend Lloyd’s Box regularly.
• Manage relationships to create cross-selling opportunities and retain accounts.
• Ensure timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to standards.
• Review loss control reports and manage policy endorsements for necessary changes.
• Support business planning, monitor financial exposure, and premium income within limits.
• Maintain awareness of all claims and support claim settlement processes.
• Collaborate with team members, including underwriters, assistants, and management.

You will report to the Underwriting Manager.
