Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the company's filing systems and recording incoming documents where appropriate.
- Responding to inquiries from Brokers / Intermediaries courteously and helpfully, ensuring all information needed for underwriting is obtained and communicated.
- Securing necessary information to identify client requirements and providing & communicating quotations to ceding Brokers / Intermediaries in accordance with assigned underwriting permissions.
- Using gathered information to rate/set premiums, apply terms and conditions as per guidelines.
- Utilizing the company's quotation system, rating guides, or referring to Dawn Zacharow to set rates/premiums. Confirm verbally accepted quotations in writing, including full cover details, and request proposals or Statements of Fact as needed.
- Preparing and issuing invoices and policy documents, and updating client records.
- Handling actions related to existing clients, such as mid-term adjustments and claims, with occasional referral to senior colleagues.
- Creating and updating files and system records for new business and amendments.
- Following credit control rules to achieve cash flow objectives.
- Assisting with claims notifications and directing policyholders to Claims Management or helpline as appropriate.
- Responding courteously to claim inquiries from Brokers/Intermediaries, policyholders, insurers, and third parties, ensuring all relevant information is obtained and communicated.
- Annotating files and system records with claim updates.
- Maintaining secure, efficient, and accurate filing systems.
- Performing other duties as required by the line manager.
