Job Description:

Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide underwriting duties for Lancashire UK, focusing on the Terrorism line of business within the UK Delegated Authority Portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Terrorism DUA portfolio, including slips, wordings, aggregates, and referrals.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships for your line of business.
• Participate in client presentations and meetings.
• Underwrite risks within your authority and report decisions as needed.
• Receive submissions, analyze risks, and complete pre-underwriting processes.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of wording, technical market understanding, and environment.
• Check and approve system records and sign-offs.
• Monitor payments for premiums and bordereaux.
• Authorize endorsements within your authority.
• Ensure risks are within tolerances or obtain necessary approvals for exceptions.
• Finalize documentation and contracts with brokers.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and research as required.
• Qualifications: Degree and Cert CII / DIP CII or ACII preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Attention to detail, discipline, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
