Job summary

DEFC Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a specialist property lender to join as an underwriter. You’ll assess bridging deals, risk and structure clear credit recommendations to move cases toward completion.

You’ll work with brokers, solicitors and valuers, review valuations and legal reports, and apply commercial judgement to each application. This role offers the opportunity to grow with a fast-moving, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting bridging loans or other short-term property finance.
• Sound credit judgement and a commercial approach to assessing individual cases.
• A strong understanding of property security and exit strategies.
• The ability to manage multiple cases without losing attention to detail.
• Someone who wants to keep learning, support their colleagues and play a part in a growing business.
