Northreach is partnering with a London-based specialist lender known for delivering fast, flexible property finance solutions and creative credit decisioning. The business specialises in bridging finance, including acquisition, refinance, development exit and non-standard cases, and operates with commercial judgement and a broker-first mindset.

We are seeking a Bridging Underwriter to join a high-growth underwriting team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in short-term property lending who wants to apply sharp credit judgement and work on a broad variety of deals, from straightforward bridging cases through to more complex structures.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite bridging finance applications, including residential, semi-commercial and refurbishment cases
• Assess credit risk, property security, exit strategies and valuation reports
• Review legal due diligence and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Prepare credit recommendations and risk assessments in line with policy
• Liaise with brokers, solicitors, valuers and internal stakeholders to progress deals
• Ensure cases move efficiently from application to completion
• Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation
• Deliver high-quality credit decisions while balancing risk and commerciality

Requirements

• Experience underwriting short-term or specialist property finance (bridging or similar)
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and property lending principles
• Commercial mindset with excellent analytical skills
