BMW Group Financial Services UK is looking for an Underwriter. This role is based at the Summit ONE Campus in Farnborough.

What awaits you?

• Evaluate financial data, making fully justified and sound decisions on all types of Private Customer GB (BMW / MINI) and Private Customer All Brands.
• Make decisions within the agreed SLA with Sales.
• Review underwriting declines, appeals, and complaints.
• Review and analyse additional information supplied by the Customer to support decision-making.
• Collaborate within all underwriting teams and relevant stakeholders (Compliance, Risk, Sales Support, etc.).
• Identify and mitigate AML and Financial Crime risks.
• Provide advice and support to Private Customer GB (BMW / MINI) and Private Customer All Brands in Application Processing for optimal customer and company outcomes, in line with TCF regulations.

What should you bring along?

• A sound knowledge of the range of finance plans and financial services products.
• Competence in FCA regulatory requirements, including AML and Financial Crime, and understanding their impact on underwriting processes.
• Strong communication skills.
• The ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
• Proven analytical and decision-making skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and independently, especially when escalating problems or issues.
