Job summary

ICL Group is recruiting an Underground Electrician for its Boulby operation. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting underground electrical equipment across heavy mining machinery, conveyors, switchgear and lighting.

Qualifications

• Time-served Electrician with apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in heavy industry, mining, processing, utilities or similar environments.
• Knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems up to 11kV.
• Experience maintaining conveyors, pumps, motors or heavy machinery.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Proactive approach to problem solving; strong safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing underground electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Fault-finding on complex mining and processing systems.
• Supporting reliability and performance of critical operational equipment.
• Working on face-line machinery, conveyors, pumps, switchgear and associated systems.
• Carrying out electrical isolations and working within permit systems.
• Supporting planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns when required.
• Collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with site standards.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
