Job summary
BAT offers an exciting undergraduate placement in Modern Oral Product Development in Southampton for a 12-month fixed-term period. The role supports discovery, development and delivery of consumer-centric oral nicotine pouch products, working across formulation, prototyping and testing, with cross- functional collaboration.

Qualifications
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline relevant to product development.
- Interest in experimental design, data interpretation and product performance.
- Hands-on approach to prototyping and testing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Support development of Modern Oral products by exploring formulation, pouch, packaging and sensory levers.
- Design and execute experiments, including lab prototyping and data capture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product Development, Analytical, Sensory, Quality and Regulatory.
- Analyze results and provide evidence-based recommendations to project decisions.
- Manage work plans, timelines and documentation to meet milestones.
