Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in the Bristol area is offering a 12.5-month Cost Engineering Placement starting 16 August 2027. The role is aimed at undergraduates studying Aerospace, Electrical and Electronic, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines with a focus on cost estimation and project management.

You will develop cost models, support cost analysis, and collaborate with a multinational team across design to value initiatives.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduates for the full placement duration
• Studying toward a degree in Aerospace or related engineering discipline
• Motivated to manage own activities within a multi-skilled team
• Proficient English, additional languages a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead personal and operational projects
• Provide cost estimates for new aircraft system design and production
• Perform gap analyses between costing estimates and supplier quotes
• Develop cost models, references, tools and methods
• Communicate findings to stakeholders in verbal and written form
• Participate in training to enhance cost estimation and leadership skills
